I've just finished the article, "Cyril: expanding the horizons of MARC21" by Jane W Jacobs; Ed Summers; Elizabeth Ankersen from v. 22, no. 1 of Library Hi Tech. It explains the development of the Cyril tool to de-transliterate Russian records. Fascinating, and thanks for the tool. They end by considering the issue of multiple scripts in MARC records. How do the 880s relate to authority records? Should the transliterated title have precedence? Should all fields be repeatable but in different scripts? Well worth reading.
