I'll be going to ALA Midwinter. Since this is my 1st ALA conference I'm open to suggestions about what not to miss. MARBI sessions, the OCLC blogger get-together, Walt's get-together are on my schedule. But what else? Any suggestions gladly taken.

Can't wait to see you again, David
You could always check out one of the ALCTS cataloging committee meetings, I suppose. They're mostly open to visitors, I think.
David -- we'll look forward to seeing you at the Blogger salon. ALCTS has posted a list of ALCTS events (http://www.ala.org/ala/alcts/alctspubs/alctsnewsletter/vol16no6/16n6home.htm) You might enjoy attending various OCLC events (https://www3.oclc.org/app/ala_registration/default.asp) including one or more of the breakfasts (great way to stretch your travel dollars!)
I don't know if you do anything with serials cataloging or not, but the Continuing Resources Cataloging Committee will be doing an update forum on Monday afternoon (1:30-3:30pm) which will include an RDA update from Jennifer Bowen, reports on CONSER, CC:DA, and ISSN/NSDP happenings, as well as a presentation of the results of a survey dealing with OPAC displays for serials. (In the interest of full disclosure, I'm on the committee, but I always found these update forums to be very useful even before I became a committee member.)
Other than that, you might check out some of the discussion groups-- the Cataloging Norms group and the Catalog Management group often have interesting discussions.
