The Evergreen library catalog for the Georgia PINES is now live. This is a large open source effort. PINES is:
A program of the Georgia Public Library Service, Georgia Library PINES is the public library automation and lending network for 252 libraries in 123 counties. PINES creates a statewide "borderless library" that provides equal access to information for all Georgians.

Learned something new today! I was sure that "123 counties" was a typo, but was surprised to find out that Georgia has 159 counties (second only to Texas). I'm thinking that at least some of them have GOT to be pretty small.

It may be "live" but let's see you log in. I haven't been able to yet, and according to my local library I'm not the only one. It's incredibly buggy. Let's hope they get the problems resolved soon.

It seems to be working just fine at 4:00 pm on Thursday 7 September. I'm coming at it from Pennsylvania, if that makes any difference. [I'm the first "anonymous" again, not the second one.]
