ONIX (Online Information Exchange) is the standard in the publishing industry for computer-to-computer communication about bibliographic data. In that way, ONIX gives publishers the ability to share infinitely more information about their books with infinitely more people, but often this opportunity is not taken advantage of. Reasons for this are many, but, in general, publishers have been unsure why they need to put extra information into an ONIX file.Link fixed.
